Who’s dream are you working for? Unless you get up every morning and go to your dream job,
which I imagine most of us do not, then you helping someone else build their dream, and that is
taking away from the time you should be building your own. Now I’m not saying that you should
quit your job today or sell everything you own to buy your own restaurant, but if you aren’t doing
something every day to build up YOUR dream, you aren’t really living.
Too many of us spend too much time living with the belief that we cannot accomplish our
dreams. We don’t try to accomplish them because we don’t think it’s possible. We don’t think we
are good enough, smart enough, lucky enough, or pretty enough to get what we want out of life.
We accept and believe the negative things that the world tells us about ourselves. I am 36 years
old and can think of several dreams I had for life that let slip by without even trying because I
just didn’t think I could. Looking back, I see that if I would have worked hard enough, I probably
could have accomplished each and every one of those dreams
When I refer to your dreams, I don’t mean winning the lottery, becoming a famous singer
overnight, or owning your own company by next week. But regardless of what your dream may
be, you can almost always get there! Of course, you have to be realistic, but you also need to be
realistic about how much you can actually accomplish, which is usually much more than you
think you can!
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
Start chasing your dreams today! No matter how big they may seem, start by taking one little
step after another. It is possible!
