Your regrets in life most likely are not going to come from things that you did. They’re going to come from those things that you didn’t do. Those dreams you didn’t chase, that trip you didn’t take, the memories that you didn’t have time to create. We are only given so much time on this Earth, and we truly never know how long that is going to be. Of course, we do have responsibilities; work, school, keeping a somewhat clean house, etc. But don’t get so busy in the responsibilities of life that you lose the time to do things that you truly want to do. Time spent on the beach building a sand castle with your children, time writing that book you’ve always wanted to write, completing that goal you always said you would do one day, but then that one day never comes. Start doing those things today! Looking back in my life thus far, of course, I do have some regrets but there are some things I have done. But mostly it is from the things I did not do. The dreams I did not chase. The things I did not do, thought I did not have time to accomplish, or just thought they were impossible. I want to live life, I want to create memories with my children, I want to chase my dreams, I want to find my happiness. God has blessed me with a good life. Although, I have had to work for it and had more than my share of hard times. But it’s time to take time for the things that matter. I greatly hope that you will do the same. Those things you been putting off until “one day”, that one day might never come if you don’t take action now. We can never know how many days our future holds so we must take full advantage of every day. Don’t put off til tomorrow what you can start on today. Allow yourself to be happy, to reach for the sky, and to encourage others to do the same.
